NEWS: AWESOME MINI F100

An intesting lightweight 100mm brushless racer is announced by awesome with the mini F100: https://www.banggood.com/AWESOME-MINI-F100-100MM-FPV-Racing-Drone-ARF-Omnibus-F3-OSD-5_8G-25mW-Blheli_S-10A-600TVL-Camera-p-1171652.html. If the general electronic elements are the same as other competitors (F3 Omni+ OSD, 10A ESC BLheli_S/Dshot 600, 600TVL 25mW 48CH AIO camera). To save some weight, 1103/7500Kv motors are installed. The weight announced is 47g without the LiPo and with 2S 500mAh battery so should turn around 67g. The FPV camera seems well protected and the thickness of each arm about 2mm. With the propguard, can maybe be used indoors…. Maybe a small hope to run it in 3S… Come in PBP version…. so a good FrSky XM+ can be a great compagon for this one. Wait & See.

Good for garden flying only because of only 25 mW VTX. Proprietary FC/ESC board layout, although FC and ESC’s are definitely good. 10A continuous current per single motor is a good choice for motors used here. They even make possible upgrade to more powerful and 3S capable 1104 motors later without risk to catch fire. Interesting which camera is mounted inside this quad?

Strange that many ARF/RTF micro brushless quadcopter kit manufacturers still include red JST battery connector which is supposed for continuous 3A current. In my practice 1103-1104 motors perform better if battery have connector with larger current demand support like XT-30 which is only one gram heavier, are gold plated and support 30A continuous current.

Yes strange to see the JST connector here again … 3A only for the JST ? I believed it was a little bit more.

I don’t know why they don’t make 25/100/200mW switchable. 25mW is to glitchy.

      • SeByDocKy says:

Coz in many countries, 25mW is the maximum output power allowed…. but it’s true, a switchable VTX would be great…
