NEWS: KingKong FlyEgg 100

The design is really cool and reminds me the older Wasp’s serie in the 250mm caterory. The flight controller is a PikoBLX with a F3 arm core but without OSD unfortunatly. A 4-in-1 ESC board with 10A model supporting BLheli_S and Dshot600. Motors are 1103/7500kV so lighter than classic 1104 but are announced to be 3S compatible. For the FPV part, we can find he excellent 800TVL CMOS model we can already find in some other KingKong model. For the VTX, a 16CH with 4 frequencies divided into 4 bands. Notice the output power can be also turn up to 100mW. Four choices of receiver are porposed: FrSKy D16, FlySky AFHDS-2A, Spektrum DSM2/DSMX and Futaba SFHSS. An interesting model…. be can be better than the Eachine Lizaed 95 ? not sure ….

    Frame design definitely is cool. Obviously it wouldn’t have Lizard performance without larger props. No OSD is a boomer for non-DIY oriented people. Although OSD adding for this KK split camera + VTX assembly is a piece of cake – no need to break connectors to get out video signal from tight cam/VTX sandwich. Micro MinimOSD is your friend here – also because FC in pictures seems have free secondary UART2. Didn’t seen this FC and camera assembly in Banggood as separate items yet. Although KK 25/100 mW switchable output camera seems interesting. I have KK 25 mW one with good enough FPV range for gardens or small fields. Interesting how good is this model in 100 mW mode?

    ok so i have this FlyEgg and it was awesome out of the box . . and i had a few tumbles but very easy crashes nothing like my 250 quad. and the Piko blx flight controller stopped connecting to the pdb slash esc. .. so i was lazy about it and just ordered another flight controller – exactly like the one it came with. well that didin’t work on its own i had to order another pdb esc blheli part to make it work. well the part is in, i have it wired correctly, i think, the thing powers up and there is no smoke! the led’s light up, the beeper makes the correct noises, the esc calibrate with the correct chime that it makes when calibrating correctly, the beeper even sounds when i arm the quad. and when i move the mode button from angle to horizon to acro modes. i have a taranis Q7x and the Frsky xm+ receiver connected and showing movement in Betaflight. i have beta flight configured to the specs out of the box but i can’t get the darm motors working.
    my betaflight configurations are as follows.

    Ports – 3UART set for serial SBUS (which is what the drone and the Q7x need it to be on to function properly)
    Configuration – multi shot is set, but i tried oneshot 125 too and there was no motor movement still. i had read that d shot did not work on this pikoblx aio pdb/esc/fc mini stack so i even tried that even knowing it would be a long shot. nothing on d shot either.
    POWER AND BATTERY TAB – Nothing set or changed
    FAILSAFE – set it to drop – nothing out of the ordinary
    PID SETTINGS – Nothing changed
    RECEIVER TAB – shows all signs of being connected and controlled by the TX (the q7x). I CHANGED the controls to TAER1234 as you should with the receiver and transmitter controller setup I have. The little xm+ receiver have has the green light solid so you know it is bound to my controller.
    MODES TAB – I set up the arm on AUX1, the modes on AUX2 and i set the beeper on AUX3. these all work like they did before.
    MOTORS TAB – there is no action on the motors even when i click the button and go past the warning that pops up saying to take off the props. so i test the motors and nothing. if i do an esc calibration it sounds like it should but nothing with the motors still.

    on the Flight Controller there is a line of writing that says SBUS or PPM and there is a light that is on and it is under the PPM side (neon blue Led light) and obviously i am trying to run SBUS as that is what kind of receiver i have and the kind of wiriing i soldered to the RX to the flight controller, which was double checked. and triple checked. then i checked to make sure that it had not switched back to PPM from SBUS. it was still in sbus and i can’t move motors still

    i noticed also that the esc calibration noise was sounding when i plugged in a battery… so i tried to flash my esc in blheli and now i am getting a warning that says USB device not recognized …. so now what? i cant get the immersion rc driver app to find the flight controller either so i don’t know what to do i am stumped. please help.

      hi Jordan did you get this figured out? im having all the same issues as you are although I was able to flash with blheli suite
